Google Business Profile

The hours line to paste

Made from the Opening hours and Closures sheets, so it always matches the website. Business Profile → Edit profile → Hours (and Special hours for the closures).

How to update the site
  1. Change the opening hours
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Opening hours → the day → opens, closes, a note → Update. One sheet feeds the home page, Get food, the footer, what Google reads and the Business Profile line below. "Closed — opens Thursday 4 p.m." is worked out from it, never typed.
  2. Add a closure (holiday, weather, inventory)
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Closures → Add New: the date and one line of reason, with the next open day if it is not the usual one → Publish. It shows everywhere the hours show and drops off by itself afterwards.
  3. Paste the hours into Google Business Profile
    Google Business Profile → Edit profile → Hours, then Special hours for the closures. Copy this line, made from the same sheet the website reads: Tuesday 12:00 PM–3:00 PM; Thursday 4:00 PM–7:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM–12:00 PM; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday closed. Special hours: Thu 26 Nov 2026 closed (Thanksgiving. Thursday shoppers may come Tuesday 24 or Saturday 28 November instead.). Special hours: Thu 24 Dec 2026 closed (Christmas Eve.   4. Update the needs list
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Needs list → each line: out, low or enough, and the date it expires (two weeks is usual) → Update. Home, Give and every drive flyer read it; an expired line hides itself. Do this after the truck on Tuesday.
  5. Post a shift or fill a place
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Volunteer shifts → the shift → places needed and filled → Update. A weekly shift has a weekday; a one-off has a date and vanishes after it. Full shifts stay listed on purpose.
  6. Enter the month's numbers
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Monthly numbers → Add New, by the 15th: the month (2026-09), households, people, visits, pounds, the two first-visit counts, and the sentence that says how they were counted. The year adds itself up from the months.
  7. Publish a new Form 990
    Media → Add New and upload the PDF. Then Quarry Road Food Pantry → Financial documents → Add New, choose the file, the fiscal year and the kind, and Publish. The three newest 990s are listed by themselves.
  8. Send year-end giving statements
    Quarry Road Food Pantry → Year-end statements → look at donors marked Fix or Check, add checks and stock under "Gifts entered by hand", preview a statement, then Send. In this demonstration nothing is sent.
